Now couples are not looking for a job but they are thinking of starting a new business on their own.

1. MobiFolio by Mrigaen and Nupur

The first couple in our list is Mrigaen Kapadia and Nupur Kapadia. Both of them met and started MobiFolio.

MobiFolio is an Android based app for smart phones like iPhone and Galaxy.

Both of them plunged into this business that makes mobile apps.

CashKaro is a coupon site. As you know online shopping and ecommerce is very popular in India. So Rohan and Swati decided to start a cash back and coupon venture.

Rohan deals with technical stuff like SEO, SEM etc and Swati deals with email marketing, social media, PR etc.

WedMeGood sounds really great because it is a web portal that brings vendors and wedding professional together.

Anand deals with daily ops and hiring while Mehak deals with content and creative aspect of the site.

GigStart is web portal dedicated for entertainer and party planners. GigStart brings singers, dancers, anchors, dancers, makeup artists and party planners together. Ajit handles fund raising strategy and Madhu handles marketing.

Eristona is an artificial jewelry portal started by Jyotveer and Gurshagun. Despite no help from the family they decided to go for this web portal that sells fake jewelry.

Jyotveer is in charge of financing and marketing while Gurshagun handles designing part.

Yaasna is also a web portal for handcrafted silver and fusion Jewelry. The web portal is quite similar to Eristona. Navin handles the strategy operations and finance; he is the CEO while Aparna is in charge of design, customer relations, brick and mortar retail, sales and business development.

·         Love Story: Both of them first met at Jorhat in Assam. Earlier they were into home décor before they started Yaasna. They are married with 3 kids.

7. SweetsInbox by Abhinay and Radhika

As the name suggests SweetsInbox is all about sweets, a web portal that deals with sweets. In fact it is claimed that Sweet Inbox is India’s first portal for sweets without a manufacturing unit.

Abhinay handles finance and operation and Radhika deals with marketing.

·         Love Story: It is interesting to know that first they got married in the year 2011 and then the idea for their new startup came up. Actually they were in Switzerland for honeymoon and the idea came.

8. Zovi by Manish and Payal

Zovi is an online shopping portal founded by Manish and Payal. After travelling the world for 12 years they moved back to India in the year 2012.

Manish an ex Microsoft employee decided to start their new shopping portal.

The last couple in our list is Gautam and Prerna of GetKinnected. GetKinnected is basically a digital advertising platform based on augmented reality and motion sensing.

Gautam deals with conceptualization and product delivery while she handles recruitment and marketing.

·         Love Story: It is quite interesting to know both of them met through matrimonial site. They are unique in our list because no couple met through a matrimonial website. Both got married in the year 2011.
